Pete Eckert ARTISTS WANTED WINNER October 1, 2010
Posted by bohdan.warchomij in : American Photographers, Art, Competitions , trackback” I am not trying to depict the sighted world. I am trying to show the world I now see using my other senses. My memories, emotions, as well as sound and touch play a part. Some people don’t think I am blind after looking at my work. I am a visual person, I just can’t see.”
Pete Eckert has won the “Artists Wanted” Grand Prize this year and his story is quite inspirational. Being in a sound shadow helps him visualize and create. He is visually impaired and paints with light to produce his images.
